1000mW USB adapter with Windows 7 64bit
Author jnagrover Posted time 2011-06-08 20:09:14
Contents I am using the 1000 mW USB adapter along with an 18 dbi panel antenna on my win 7 64bit computer. I installed the driver/software included on the CD with the adapter which appears to be a 2010 version and newer than what is available online on you software download page. The USB adapter appears to be running and I can search for wifi signals and can "connect" to my router with 85% signal strength, but there is no real connection because I cant use firefox or internet explore to go to any web pages. What can I do to get this USB adapter to work correctly to actually visit the web?

Contents FYI I didn't do anything to my computer, driver, or antenna other than restarting and powering it down and back up along with trying to connect with a different wifi Access Point and I now have a connection and could surf the web. I will try again with my original router and panel antenna combination and but I believe the couple restarts and power down/up overnight got something working right with the software, even though it sounds very winblows.
