Most laptops have built-in WiFi device but its function cannot receive stable signal. Sometimes, you will find webpage or e-mail exploration very slowly and unstably. Also for the desktop do has the wireless card but cannot get the great signal. U-tenna™ is all in one latest product in the wifi market. It is an antenna with built-in USB adapter which covers up to 1.2 miles in the clear line of sight area. The USB cable is 5m/15 ft long. It is the easiest antenna you can think of. It does not require any complicated installation. All you have to do is plug in to your USB port of your laptops or desktops, then you are ready to enjoy wifi world. It comes with a CD driver which is compatible with Mac, Windows XP, and Windows Visita. Before installation, please switch off your built-in WiFi function. After that, you can download USB adapter software to connect USB adapter with this antenna. For better reception, please put the U-Tenna outside the window or outdoor.

Test Report and Test Procedures of U-Tenna™ 2.4G PANEL Antenna 14dBi
Location: On the top floor of one 12-story building in a city, Taiwan.
Equipment :
1. Laptop - ACER Aspire 5051AWXMi,
2. U-Tenna™ 2.4G PANEL Antenna 14dBi
Test Procedure: Please refer to the following photos and description.
Photo 1
Test is conducted on the top floor of one 12-story building.
Photo 2: Connect the U-Tenna™ WL-UTP-2450-14 to the laptop.
Photo 3: Take the antenna to the most remote end of the floor as to receive more WIFI signals.
Photo 4: 34 sources of wifi signals are detected with the software (Network Stumbler). Next, we have to check which signal is usable. After finding a usable signal, we will proceed with the test for traffic flow of the signal test packet.
Photo 5: There is a difference between how the point-point and omni-direction antenna receives signals. The point-point antenna can detect more wifi signals at this time. We also connect to the same 11 M sending station (corega) which uses omni antenna. Once it is connected, we open the signal test packet to test the signal quality
Photo 6: Since the point Vpoint antenna is the tested product, the tester keeps searching for the direction where the wifi signals come from. The test found where the signals come from. Moreover, the transmission speed is even much better than the omni-directional one. The webpage of transmission speed is opened and shows the transmission speed 1838 K bps, which is about 225 K bytes/sec.
Conclusion: By using U-Tenna™, you can easily receive the wireless signal from your neighbors. Sharing your neighbor wireless signal is economical but we do not encourage impermissible wireless sharing.
We will add two more entries to this report: 1. Reception capability 2. Distance of Point-to-Point transmission These two features will be added to the website after the completion of the test.
