I asm using a model MP54GS likksys pci card in m y computer and have a lmr400 cable set up[ with pl259 connectors on the end i neeed a sma series plug to adapt the 259 to the sma inlet on the card in order to use the mfj beam antenna to connect to it.

For work with LMR400 cable you need to choose the SMA which is for LMR400, below is the link for the correct connector,

HI,
I have the Edimax (a wireless lan pci adapter) that I bought from newegg but the antenna cable is only 3ft in length -- too short. I like to extend it to about 10ft. I know nothing about which type of connector and cable to get. All I know it.s a SMA type. Can you recommend what I should get?

If you would like use the longer cable to connect with Dipole antenna from your Edimax card, you can choose SMA male RP to SMA female RP LLC200 cable
